Seizmic, Inc. Is LA City Accredited Specialty Testing Facility in the Material Handling Industry

Engineering Firm Brings Expertise to Any Structural Material Handling Challenge

Sept. 17, 2016 – (Covina, CA) – Seizmic, Inc., a leader in material handling, engineering and custom manufacturing for some of the largest companies in the world, today announced that it became an accredited testing facility for a variety of material handling tests. In addition to this achievement, the company is also currently in the process of obtaining global accreditation by International Accreditation Service (IAS). Once completed, its accreditation will allow it to provide expertise to companies looking to ensure the structural soundness of material handling structures for seismic and other related catastrophes on a global scale.

Currently, Seizmic has completed accreditation and is compliant with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) tests for several MHI product groups such as: Rack Manufacturers’ Institute (RMI) and the Storage Manufacturers’ Association (SMA).

“We have seen seismic activity and code changes that become center stage as warehouses can be devastated by structures that aren’t built to withstand earthquakes and damage from abuse,” said Sal E. Fateen, P.E. and CEO of Seizmic, Inc. “Because of that, it is important that the test results we provide are accurate, reliable, and useful. Receiving accreditation from IAS further demonstrates Seizmic’s commitment to its customers in complying with current and future regulations and requirements of RMI and SMA.”

Seizmic’s testing facility helps customers gain confidence that the structures they are building will be compliant with codes and regulations across all 50 states.
